Tanzania Safari Packages

Day 1:

Arrival in Nairobi

On arrival at Kenyatta international airport JKIA meet our representative & drive to Eka Hotel located close to the airport for dinner & overnight.

Day 2:

Nairobi – Lake Nakuru National Park

Distance: 166 km

Non Game Viewing Time: 2 to 3 hours

After breakfast at your hotel depart for Lake Nakuru National Park for wonderful game viewing, the drive is along Nairobi city center & across many villages. Lake Nakuru National Park is a beautiful wildlife heaven surrounded by wooded & lash vegetation including the Lake itself. Varied habitats that range from the Lake to the surrounding Great Rift Valley escarpment & beautiful ridges makes it unique.

Lake Nakuru is among Ramsa sites in East Africa where flocks of colorful flamingos & other water birds can easily be seen, this is one of the feeding sites for both lesser & Greater flamingos. Animals species that can be found hear are including white rhino, water bucks, baboon, zebra, lion & many more. Late afternoon drive to Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge for dinner & overnight.

Day 3:

Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara Game Reserve

After breakfast at your lodge depart for the famous Masai Mara Game Reserve, the driving is along the Great East African rift Valley & across many villages all the way to Masai Mara. Arrive for hot lunch at Base Camp Mara then afternoon game drive.

Masai is one of the largest game Reserve in Kenya situated at Narok and Trans Mara Counties bordered Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. It is named in honor of the indigenous tribe of Maasai people, the ancestral inhabitants of the area, who believed to migrate to this area from the Nile Basin. Their description of the area when looked at from afar: “Mara” means “spotted” in the local Maasai language, due to the many short bushy trees which dot the landscape.

Masai Mara Game Reserve is one of the most famous and important wildlife conservation in Africa, known for its exceptional populations of lion, African leopard, cheetah and African bush elephant. It also hosts the Great Wildebeest Migration during the month of Middle September to October, which secured it as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa. You may also expect to sport herds of zebra, buffalo, giraffe, warthog & many antelopes. Hyenas, jackals, mongoose & lots of birds can been seen wondering around this area. Later afternoon during sunset return back to the lodge for dinner & overnight.

Day 4:

Full Day Game Drive in Masai Mara

On this day as early as 06:30 depart the lodge for early morning game drive in the famous Masai Mara Game Reserve. You may spot cat family usually spend their morning time on the road to avoid morning mist, If the migration of herd will be packed on this side you will straight drive to where they are & spend much time with them. Spot many game animals & birds in the vast Masai Mara Game Reserve. You may carry packed breakfast box & lunch box with you & return back to the lodge for sunset watch dinner & overnight.

Day 5:

Masai Mara –Serengeti National Park via Isebania Border

Distance: 149 km

Non game viewing time: 3 to 4 hrs.

Our Tanzania safari driver guide will pick you up at Isebania border around 10:30 & drive to Serengeti National Park for afternoon game drive in search of big cats, herds of elephant, wildebeest, zebra, giraffe, buffalo & many more. Late afternoon before or during sunset drive to Embalakai Tented Camp for dinner & overnight.

Day 6 & 7:

2 Full Day Game drive in Serengeti

Kenya and Tanzania Safari  1^st day an early morning game drive in the Serengeti starting at 06:30 with packed breakfast box & lunch box. Early morning game drive can allow you to spot cat family on the road as the avoid morning mist & other nocturnal predators returning back from their long night of hunting or a group of lioness organizing a morning ambush.

After break for breakfast in the bush before heading to where the Great Wildebeest Migration is packed (depend on traveling dates) & spend much time with the herds anticipating to see animal actions like fighting, eating, hunting even killing. Packed lunch to be served in one of the picnic site around the area. Late afternoon during or before the sunset drive back to the camp for dinner & overnight.

2^nd Day IF you wish you can start early for another Wildebeest Migration game drive in the vast Serengeti plains. You can expect to spot lion, leopard, jackals, hyenas, cheetah, zebra, elephant, Topi, giraffe, buffalo & many antelopes. Late afternoon return back to your camp for dinner & overnight.

Day 8:

Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast start your way toward Nngorongoro Conservation Area with en-route game drive &.descent 600 meters into the crate floor for a wonderful game viewing. Ngorongoro crater supported by yearly around water supply & fodder, supports a vast number of animals which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippos and giant African elephant.

Another big draw to this picturesque crater is its denser population of predators which include lion, hyena, jackals, cheetah & the ever-elusive leopard which sometimes requires trained eye to spot. You will visit Lake Magadi a larger but shallow alkaline lake in the southwest corner which is among the main features of the crater. Larger flocks of flamingos, hippos & other aquatic birds can usually be seen here. Late afternoon drive out & to Ngorongoro Coffee Lodge for sunset, dinner & overnight.

Day 9:

Ngorongoro – Tarangire or Lake Manyara – Arusha

After breakfast Kenya and Tanzania safari continues as you drive to Tarangire or Lake Manyara National park for game drive. On the way you will have a brief stop at The Great East African Rift Valley for great views of Lake Manyara & its forest, after drive down & into Tarangire or Lake Manyara Park for game drive. Tarangire National Park runs along the beautiful lines of Tarangire River and mostly is made up of low lying hills on the floor of the Great Rift Valley. The vegetation in this park is mainly consists of huge African baobab trees, scattered Acacia woodland and a large swamp area in the south.

Tarangire River and the swamp are acting as a refugee’s camp for wild animal during the dry season. This park is highlighted with some of the largest elephant heard found nowhere in Africa, the rare species of animals like Fringed-eared Oryx and the Great Kudu are also found here. Tarangire is home to 400 species of bird including the rare Ash Stalling. In the afternoon is lunch break in one of the picnic site then embark for afternoon game drive before drive to Mount Meru Hotel in Arusha for diner & overnight.

Day 10:

Transfer Arusha – JRO or Nairobi by Public or Private Shuttle

After breakfast & depending on your flight or shuttle time we take you to Kilimanjaro or Arusha Airport for your flight back home or to Zanzibar for beach extension. If taking shuttle back to Nairobi we drop you at shuttle bus station.
