Day 01.

Arusha – Ngorongoro Crater

Distance: 175 km

Non game viewing time 2 to 4 hrs

Pick up from your hotel/lodge in Arusha & depart for Ngorongoro Crater. The driving is along Masai steppe & across the Great East African Rift Valley & to Ngorongoro gate. After registration drive up the Crater view point for a breathtaking views of Crater floor from the rim before descend over 600 meters into the Crater floor for wonderful game viewing.

Ngorongoro Crater referred by many as 8th nature wonder of the world has an amazing landscape. Supported by yearly around water supply and fodder  the crater supports variety of animals which include herds elephant, zebra, buffalo, wildebeest, eland, Warthog, Hippos, countless bird species & the rare black rhino.

Another big draw card to this picturesque crater is the dense population of predators which include lion, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs & the ever-elusive leopard which sometime require binoculars eyes to spot. Late afternoon drive out & to Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge at the Crater rim or similar in Karatu town for dinner & overnight.

Day 2.

Ngorongoro – Serengeti National Park

Distance: 95 km

Non game viewing time 2 to 3 hours

After breakfast at your lodge leave for the prominent park & UNESCO’s world heritage site Serengeti National Park. On the way you can visit Olduvai Gorge where Dr. Leaky & his wife Marry discovered the fossils of mankind which contributed in human theory that the first man lived in Africa. Reach Naabi Hills gate for registration before starting your afternoon game drive in the vast Serengeti plains searching for big cats & the Great wildebeest Migration herd (depending on traveling dates). You may also expect to spot other animals which include herds of African elephant, giraffe, buffalo, warthog, hippos, topi & many bird species. Late afternoon during sunset drive to the camp for dinner & overnight.

Day 3.

Full Day Game Drive in Serengeti

On this day as early as 06:30 am with packed breakfast box & lunch box we take you for an early morning game drive in the mightier Serengeti National Park. Early morning game drive can allow you to spot cat family on the road as they try to avoid morning mist. You may also see other nocturnal predators coming back from their long night of hunting & others waking up ready to start a new day in Serengeti or you can see a group of lioness organizing a morning mist or eating along the road.

After, break for breakfast in the bush before following the Great Wildebeest Migration & spend much time with them where you can anticipate to see some animal actions like fighting, hunting, eating, fighting even killing. In the afternoon break for lunch in the bush or at the nearby picnic site. After lunch embark on your afternoon game drive looking for more predator which include, leopard, lion, hyenas & jackals. Late afternoon drive back to your camp for dinner & overnight.

Day 4.

Serengeti – Via Ngorongoro – Arusha

Distance: 350 km

Non game viewing time 5 to 6 hours

On this day of your 4 Days Serengeti safari package, If you wish you can do another early morning game drive in Serengeti before starting your en-route game drive & a long journey back to Arusha. But if your budget allow you can tell us to include a flight at 11:05 from Serengeti (Seronera airstrip to Arusha airport ARK 1 hour flight). If going to Zanzibar on this day we can include your flight to Zanzibar from Serengeti. Please let us know you preferences!

As for all our programs this safari can be customized to include any category of accommodation that you wish to stay in, from budget, mid-range or Luxury safari lodges and tented camps. This short 4-Day safari Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater can also be combined with a beach extension in Zanzibar or with a Kilimanjaro climb via any routes.
